COLQUITT COUNTY GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL
3131 South Main Street,
Moultrie, GA. 31768
A 155-bed acute care hospital serving Colquitt, Cook, Worth, Mitchell, Tift and Thomas counties.
The hospital was founded in 1939 as Vereen Memorial Hospital when local citizens, on the heels of The Great Depression, answered a challenge by one of Moultrie’s leading businessmen – W.J. Vereen – to match his $50,000 gift and to build the hospital. Over the next three decades, the hospital outgrew its facility and in 1975 ground was broken on the present facility. Over the next few years, as the hospital’s services extended into the surrounding counties, the name was changed to Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
